The National Academy of Public Administration, Office of the President of Ukraine (NAPA) began its history in May 1995. That same year it opened regional campuses in Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Odesa and Kharkiv. They received status as regional institutes in 2001.
Today, NAPA is the main post-secondary institution with Level IV accreditation in the system for the training, re-training and in-service training of civil servants and local government personnel.
NAPA's educational programs, which have a strong component of practical work, engage some of the finest domestic and international specialists and highly-placed government officials.
Faculty of Public Administration
This Faculty opened its doors in 1998 to provide Level IV accredited post-secondary education in the field of Public Administration and other professional specializations oriented towards the Civil Service and service in local government offices.
The curriculum is based on an interdisciplinary model for training qualified professionals at the Master's level in 8 specializations:

Government and National Security Public Administration
Public Policy and Government
Regional Government
Local Government
Public Administration of Education
Public Administration of Healthcare
The Faculty of Public Administration has its own Academic Council.
In addition, the Faculty has a permanent student government body: the Student Council, which is elected annually by students at a general meeting. The Student Council is part of the Academic Council of the National Academy of Public Administration.
